Sydney Residency 2025: Presenting "Wordly Wants At Home"
Presenting "Wordly Wants At Home"
This November, in the lead-up to the gifting season, we celebrated local craftsmanship and creativity rooted in loved pieces from home yet shaped by a worldly sensibility. Our Sydney Residency, set within the heart of the dedece Atrium, became a space to honour artistry, community, and the spirit of thoughtful making.
Alongside new work from our Atelier, we presented a curated edit of Australian founder-led brands we admire with collaborators who share our genuine appreciation for design. This marked the first Sydney residency in which we welcomed partnering brands into the fold, a milestone moment for A-ESQUE shared with clients, friends, creatives, and collaborating partners.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a chilled glass of champagne and an intimate look at our latest creative collaboration: The Flower Vine Project, with florist and Creative Director Christelle Scifo of fleurette. Handcrafted leather florals gently sprawled across cut travertine layers amongst blooms hand-selected by Christelle in the palette of the collection in an artistic meeting of materiality, craft, and nature.

Moving through the space, guests walked through a curated presentation of ready-to-wear pieces from DOTSHOP. Adored vintage treasures including a coveted 2000s Chanel blazer, a timeless wardrobe investment and an enduring example of the house’s craftsmanship, along with a highly coveted 2017 Céline by Phoebe Philo runway basket-weave dress.
The next landing unveiled our new suede Plum pieces, suspended in a sculptural display hovering above a solid white plinth and adorned with matching floral vines, creating an interplay of texture, tone, and form.
Ascending the stairs, a beautifully designed Ngaarlu tapestry hung from above. The original artwork by Otis Hope Carey crafted into woven Jacquard invited admiration and touch.
Opposite, hung four limited-edition Pedla upcycled totes. Crafted from Pedla’s excess cycling vests and paired with hand-selected colour leather handles at our Melbourne Atelier, the totes showcased a shared commitment to thoughtful, sustainable design.
Across the residency, curated natural, plant-based fragrances from Tulita rested among crystals, complementing the nature-inspired works throughout the space.
Guests were drawn to the fine jewellery by Olivia Bond adorned on stone plinths and ceramic trays, the curation featured heart charms, scalloped silhouettes, and distinctive gemstone pieces.
Our top level brimmed with conversation and energy. Here, a considered display of new pieces from our Melbourne Atelier sat among beautiful furnishings and dedece’s Alu system. New suede tones—Matcha, Chestnut, and Plum—were draped over leather chairs and a curved textural couch as guests gathered to explore and connect within our curation of “Worldly Wants At Home.”
Craftsmanship remains at the centre of everything we do. We are proud to have once again brought this spirit to Sydney within a setting that celebrates the makers, the materials, and the creative community that shape our world.
