Using only the highest quality materials in its own Melbourne Atelier, the brand pursues organic growth and never goes on sale.

The Atelier
All products are handcrafted in the A-ESQUE Melbourne Atelier, a creative space in which collections are manufactured, events are hosted, and collaborations with like-minded artists, designers and brands are formed. The Atelier is more than the workshop in which every piece is made, it's a reflection of the brands identity, which balances a modern aesthetic with traditional artisan skills, infused with a playful and irreverent independent spirit.
Amanda Rettig
Founder
Amanda Rettig is an Australian-born designer, author of one of the country’s most successful fashion stories and the formidable creative impetus behind label A-ESQUE. In 1996, Amanda founded accessories giant Mimco, and built the brand into a fashion powerhouse over twelve years prior to her move to sale in 2007. In 2012, inspired afresh, Rettig launched A-ESQUE to merge function with refined minimalism, earning her several prestigious awards, including the Young Hero Award for Business and induction into the Australian Businesswomen’s Hall of Fame.
